Fundamentalist Islam is the term used when you want to say that the violence
that is performed in direct relation to the Koran or Hadith is something
done by 'those folk over there". That it's not done by civilized, modern
Muslims but by some uneducated, poor, back woods (or desert) soul. Problem
is, many (and in some cases most) of these things are done by civilized,
modern, affluent, educated people who's dedication to the uncivilized
aspects of their holy works is detrimental to others.
Wait. Sorry. Uncivilized by modern, western standards that is unfairly being
applied to anothers culture in a pure display of colonialism.

8 million in the US vs. how many hundreds of millions in the middle east and
other places where these things are not so uncommon? And of those 8 million
in the US, what's the statistical significance of the amount of honor
killings (reported and mis-reported)? 'accidental' terrorist attacks like
driving into crowds. Polygamy? Chanting "Kill the Jews" and "Hitler didn't
do a good enough job". You know, things from their holy books.
