Yes..so..why bring Trinidad and Tobago into it! Now I has to respond :-) As I have said many times, Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Baptists, Jehova's Witnesses, Buddhists at al live together in Trinidad. We don't have people's heads being cut off, or religious murders and battles etc.
The Religion is no more inherently violent than Christianity if one goes literally from the bible. The religion has been twisted just as Christianity was twisted in the dark ages of that religion to serve the aims and goals of a small ruling class. It has been pitched to the impoverished, uneducated and illiterate masses and is used to control them. You could create a religion, and have these people believe in it, and get them to do much the same things. The people who engage in these religion based crimes are normally the downtrodden of whatever society they live in. You don't counter that propaganda and brainwashing program by bombing the population of these people, further impoverishing them and heaping even more suffering upon them. You counter such propaganda by reaching out with an open hand,lifting the lives and the societies of these people and showing people that know no other way, that there is another way. This is what Jesus Christ did.He did not destroy the temple, he did not destroy the city.
