And who may I ask are following those passages today? Everyone pulls up the negative passages from the Torah/Bible whenever these conversations come up but bottom line is that we don't have slaves (really paid servitude in context) nor do we support the beating of anyone. We've gone past those actions. >Try this exercise to see if you're being racist. Does the sentence parse > >> accurately when you substitute jewish instead of Islamic or Muslim? Do I see protest marches from Muslims denouncing this? Do I see prominent clerics explaining that this is wrong and those that do it are not true Muslims? Or, as Gruss is saying, is there a silent support or lack of protest on the part of the majority of Muslims? 2. less than human - I never said less than human. I said that there is a practice (action) that is uncivilized (in other words, against the modern notion of civilization sans murder) and is supported in one way or another by a holy book of a culture. You can dress up a pig and put lip-stick on it, but its still a pig. Now that is racist against Muslims. Using pigs in a statement. It's an insult. OK, bottom line. If beheading is an action that is condemned by Muslims then it should be protested by Muslims. Show me those protests. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:288670 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
