*smirk* But you are saying that so many muslims are terrorists, clearly it is widespread. So the analogy, which is really only ancilliary to the point, is still valid.
Can you show an instance where racial profiling works? White american males are the largest contributers to crime in Wisconsin. Why aren't they being profiled there? Because profiling is only palatable when it is able to look at a minority, a subset of a population that can be marginalised and criminalised. You fail also to answer the point that if you are an organisation that wishes to commit a crime, and you know that 'Profiling' is targeting young muslim men, then what is preventing you from using old women who write catholic as their religion? Nothing is preventing it. And THAT is why profiling does NOT work in stopping drugs, not your insipid notion about demand. It's because the drug dealers just use mules that don't fit the profiles, and their drugs get through. It is a failed system which does not work. To answer your other statement which has no basis in fact, except again your own personal beliefs (I'll be kind and not call them prejudices) The loudest voice of muslims is not that of the terrorist, so that 'free advice' you are tossing around from your mountaintop is nothing more than bad advice based on one's own personal beliefs. Be specific: The most publicised aspect of Islam and muslims in the Major American News Media is that of the militant terrorist. If you ever lifted yourself out of the morass of US major news networks and explored news from other sources and other countries you would see that there is a lot of debate, discussion, information and response from moderate muslims on the problems facing Islam, and about their religion. Everytime you start up with this biased view there is always someone that posts several links to articles and reports about these events. Yet you proceed to ignore these facts because they do not match your own biases which you hold onto so tightly. What does your biased viewpoint require? A protest per day? Shouting from a mosque about the evils of extremism per hour? Rioting in the streets against violence in Islam? Should every muslim drop a rose on a grave to satisfy you that 'Those people' are sorry enough? Your opinion is labelled as bigoted, because it is, and that is not emotion it is fact. 2009/3/12 Gruss Gott <[email protected]>: > > Ah, but your point has one MAJOR flaw: there is lots of global demand > on the consumer level for drugs.
