Amen to that. You kind of lost me with the red light camera argument (I hate them too, but what was your point again?) However I think the above is the heart of what has bothered me in this thread. I've lived in neighborhoods that were majority black, majority Mexican or majority Hispanic. I currently live in one of the original neighborhoods in Albuquerque, and most of my neighbors have been there for generations. "Don't belong around here" might as well be my middle name. I remember when I was in New Orleans, a city cop gave me a really dirty look for taking pictures on St Claude and Rampart. I am not sure whether he felt I was playing tourist in the wrong place, was potentially shark chum, or both. But he left me the hell alone, as well he should have.
