Rancho Cordova is quite close to the Lodi area, many fine high-heat
wines (zins and petite syrahs especially) are produced in the area and
tasting fees are still in the single digits unlike Napa and Sonoma to
the West.

Not sure about real estate, a friend of mine lives in Folsom and rents
2 BR apartment is ~1300/month in his complex. So beware of that.
Housing market started to drop a few years ago.
