I have the same complaint - no dialup - when travelling.

AT&T's explanation was that, unlike the prior @Home
service I had before the bankruptcy, I now have free
access to my email account from any web browser.

My question is, where am I going to find a web browser
unless I have dial-up access?

<sigh>

Their answer to that was I could subscribe to the AT&T
WorldNet dial-up service - in other words, pay for two
separate services.

Riiiiiiiight.

How rediculous is that. I was irritated to find that we don't get DSL
in this new area, but now I'm really ticked. Oh well - what's one to
do. I guess satellite will cost less soon enough. Now if someone other
than Earthlink would offer it...
