The thought that we can simply transfer rising health care costs to the government - without also transferring the trend - is asinine. Won't work here. But let's listen to Obama: If I were designing a system from scratch, I would probably go ahead with a single-payer system ... [but] ... people dont have time to wait. They need relief now. So my attitude is lets build up the system we got, lets make it more efficient, we may be over timeas we make the system more efficient and everybodys covereddecide that there are other ways for us to provide care more effectively.
