Other reasons for considering a "down-grade": Reduce traffic (which reduces urban sprawl (which reduces the human footprint on our overly-crowded earth)). Reduce pollution; I've yet to meet a person that doesn't enjoy breathing. Reduce taxes/tolls - more weight/bigger tires on the pavement requires more tax-funded resources to fix it.
