Probably worse, I have a 454 that is a torque monster, so yes ice is
bad!

Where are you? I am in Iowa so it snows a fair amount here!

Since it never snows here, anymore, I am not too concerned. But when it
is
icy, your car will slide just as easily as mine will. So there! ; )>

My G20 is much peppier than your Suburban, therefore I can go zipping
away
before you even think of running me over. Ha ha ha!

Maybe you should consider a vehicle that's shocks need not support
4000lbs
of steel. And at 16Mpg, you're definitely not supporting our great
president
in reducing our dependency on foreign oil.

Other reasons for considering a "down-grade":

Reduce traffic (which reduces urban sprawl (which reduces the human
footprint on our overly-crowded earth)).
Reduce pollution; I've yet to meet a person that doesn't enjoy
breathing.
Reduce taxes/tolls - more weight/bigger tires on the pavement requires
more
tax-funded resources to fix it.

Sorry, I know this is coming from a lurker - but I try to hop in when I
get
the time or if the topic is interesting.

Adam.
