Ha! Well ... mostly cause I'm lazy. I buy the big boxes of green tea with come with 40 bags and the little boxes of white which come with 16. I just mash 'em into a glass pitcher, fill 'er up, and then keep refilling it until it's too weak. At first you have to mix just a little tea with a lot of water, then as the tea gets weaker you mess with the ratio. I actually make 2 pitchers at a time which means one is always steeping. Works great. Lasts like a month or more at a time.
