It is essential, here, to have a big guzzly SUV so you can leap in and drive
6 blocks to Blockbuster regardless of the weather. Of course, if you drive
too fast and wreck it isn't your fault, it is the road crews' for not
plowing fast enough to make things easier for you since you are more
important than all of the other schmos out there. I usually stay home when
it snows. It is much safer that way.

Same with me,  Here in Kentucky they can never predict the weather 
correctly. So we have gotten bad ice storms whenever the weather man called 
for a light dusting.

4wd is a big help, as they rarely get to the side roads where most of my 
driving occurs. Many people run off the road and have accidents around here 
because they don't have traction on the snow.
