Easy way to look at things, you can correlate the numbers of SUV's in any
region with air pollutants. You include all sorts of other factors, and
statistically eliminate them. You will find, (since the study is available
from the EPA), that there is a positive correlation (around .5 something)
between the 2. Not perfect evidence but fairly conclusive.
