Here is one example. I have literally dozens. This is part of an email I received from 5 different people within 2 hours of each other, on the same day last week. Each was slightly different, but the main content was exactly the same. None of those 5 people know each other, or are even in the same state or decade of an age bracket.

This lady is out of her mind and > she is the speaker of the house The person sending this is quoting Pelosi with direct quotes. Not "what she believes", or "what she stands for", but these are presented as direct quotes. And there are absolutely no news stories or quotes that back up the fact that she said this. As a matter of fact, these same quotes were disproven YEARS AGO as part of a similar attack on Pelosi on another topic. See factcheck.org, or snopes, for specifics. Which, according to my Sunday School lessons, makes them lies. And there is (in my mind) absolutely NO NEED to make up quotes from Pelosi. She has said plenty of stuff that can be proven that proves her to be an absolute nut job. Is that the tone and tenor of the political discourse we have fallen to in this country? That we cannot even disagree on actual facts, but have to make up lies and untruths to win an argument? I truly don't get it. And I personally would love to find out who is doing this to our county, cynically and purposefully dividing the country with untruths, and make them stand up to the light of public scrutiny, and (in my dreams) the public stocks.
