Well from an outsider's (non-US) perspective I think you'd probably be
surprised by the reaction. The problem I always saw with the Bush
administration was that they always seemed like some sort of anal retentive
automatons. I think it would've been refreshing to see something other than
canned responses and smug media spin. Might've made them a little more
human. Instead all we got was double speak about "known knowns" and "known
unknowns" and "unknown unknowns" etc.
