I'll be interested to hear the results.

My problem is the parents that seem to think their crying child is not
an annoyance to others and so just continue on in public as if their
kid is not crying.

That's disturbing the peace in my opinion.

So I say charge the mother too.

If I walked into a WalMart with a boom box crankin some tunage I'd get
asked to leave but if a mother trapses around her little noise-hole
people get a pass.

F that.

If the little kid is misbehaving then deal with it - get the kid to
shut up or leave. In other words, be polite. You're in public.

I've helped a lady with her groceries once because her kid was
throwing a fit and she was trying to handle him and get out. I fully
support that.

So anyway, charge the mother with distrubing the peace and anything
else you can think of.

The old guy should plead temporary insanity due to outrageous behavior
by the mother.
