Now you're making sense.. I have dogs also.. my Great Pyrenees has a very loud bark, we don't let him out after 10:00 PM. We've never had a complaint.
Of course I've been proactive and asked my neighbors to let me know if his barking gets out of hand. My daughter, so far (ok it's been a week) has been pretty serene (she doesn't scream she flails when she's out of sorts) I know it's difficult if not impossible to teach a newborn what is appropriate, so if she does get loud in a restaurant or public place I'll leave. If you ask me nicely. So I reminded him that his kids basically scream from 3pm to 9pm and that I work from home occasionally and that his kids are really annoying. He said, "do you have kids? blah blah blah ..." I said, "No, I have manners. My dog barked for 3 minutes and your kids screamed for 3 hours. Can I train your kids to be as well behaved as my dogs?"
