Both Centaur and LCROSS impacted the moon successfully. Remember this is
rocket Science, Now let the scientist poor over the data for a while...When
they have something to tell us they will. But if you feel that you may have
something to add to the mission I guess you could go to the NASA website and
send the team a message. Tell them that you feel they should share the data
in real-time with you so that you can help the scientist along. They are
taking far too long to analyze the data. I mean after all we watch the
science channel and SCfi.

Space missions takes years, even decades to plan and execute.  I am
sure this plan was conceived well before the current economic downturn
and there are many others still in the works.  Canceling space
missions because we are having a bad year or two would be tremendously
short sighted.
