Yes lets start tracking what the space industry is employing.  Since
presidential helicopter was costing to much so they put a hold on and told
200 people to go find work elsewhere (just one location) and they are just
now getting ready to get back on track with less people working on the
project since they scaled back because of cost.  Only took 6 months to
figure out what they wanted to do.

As well as put *alot* more people out of work.  I suspect your basic 
assumption that 1500 people did not work on this project, is probably 
not correct.  If one where to start tracking how many contractors and 
subcontractors and sub-subcontractors, etc received work from this, or 
any other, space program, you are going to come up with way more then 
1500 people who receive their income from these projects.
