Of course that's not the original article and I didn't see that
reference but... In boy scouts, we had real pocket knives.  I was
never in Cub Scouts, but if that's something they use in cub scouts,
I'll bet it's more like a butter knife than the "jack knife" I had in
boy scouts.  None of my jack knives ever had either a spoon or a fork.
 It looks a lot more like a "camping utensil" than a "pocket knife".

Still, I'm glad the school district had the sense not to hit him up
with a 45 day tour of a school for troubled children, and they were
flexible enough to modify the rules.  some places would just say "Too
bad, we can't change the policy"
