No, he didn't.  He had a camping utensil that had a fold out fork,
knife, and spoon.

Weird, my daughter (age 7) picks her own clothes out and dresses
herself, and has since kindergarten.  Sometimes, after she gets
dressed, we tell her to go put something else on (like if she puts on
shorts and it's cold).

My daughter also packs her own lunch about half the time (she usually
gets hot lunch but is responsible for packing her snacks/drinks)
