Both the wife and I fully funded our Roth's, and maintained our company
match percentage for our 401K's (get all the free money you can) throughout
the mess.

When the kid came, and we bought the new house, we had to back off the
Roth's a bit until the new financial picture shook out. It's going to be
hard to keep the Roth's at max with this new monthly daycare bill.

Daycare is seriously f#$*($&ing ridiculously expensive...holy cripe.
