@Jerry and Zaphod No access to a Mac, at least not one that is running. The Apple laptop I inherited about 9 years ago, died within a few months.
As this is the only video I have ever had need to edit in 25 years of personal computer ownership, and I don't see much need for video editing in my near future, buying a Mac for this one task is probably a bit over kill. @Won Lee I currently have the video in a .mpeg file and the original .tivo file that was downloaded from the DVR. Once I find a tool, what do I actually want to do with it? I know I need to trim 55 minutes from the original content. But once I get the video down to the 5 minutes I want, what is the best format to publish it to a web site?
