This is what I did.  I was working with raw FRAPS files.  I would select the
parts I didn't want in the timeline (I have no idea what it is really called
but it gives you a linear overview of the movie).  Then delete them.  Then
save the video.  I would then save it using DIVX codex and then just put
them on fileshare for my friends to DL.  I did this all in VirtualDUB
because I didn't want to pay for Sony Vegas.

That is really the toughest part of using VirtualDUB is getting the correct
codex and not having them mess up your other codec.  My main computer still
have problems playing videos because of a bad VirtualDUB and condec install.

With the YouTube having HD now I would actually just upload it there now and
maybe have a embedded player on your site.
