yeah damn those obnoxious journalists ;) Seriously, dunno where you get obnoxious, as this is not apparent from anything I have read on the topic, but supposing for a second you are right, let's think about that for a minute.
Immigration agents are there to implement the policies of their government. For instance, it appears to be a policy of the Canadian government to discourage parental kidnappings, and I don't really have a quarrel with that, even if it does mean I get rousted and have to pull out all the custody and such paperwork every time I enter the country. What was the policy being implemented here, though? We discourage journalists? Really? If so why? We discourage obnoxious Americans? If so the economy up there is in trouble, as this is most of the tourism business..... We discourage people who might want to cover environmental controversy? Really? If so why?
