I don't think that mainstream media outlet alone could drive someone mad enough to fly into a building. I also don't think that reading brochures from Operation Rescue is enough to make someone go gun down a doctor. In fact, I'm quite sure of it since I've read some of their brochures and I've never killed a doctor on purpose.
But do you really think that the brochures from Operation Rescue had no contribution? This isn't a Left good, Right bad thing either. I know for certain that media on the Left helped contribute to an atmosphere where people fire bomb SUV dealerships, because I've talked to the people that have done those things. Same is true for media that portrays medical researchers as nothing more than a modern Dr. Mengele and then, lo and behold, researchers who work on animals end up getting stalked and terrorized. People are responsible for their direct actions. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't take a long hard look at the people that encourage them too.
