to underscore my point, there's a governors race in Texas where Kay Bailey 
Hutchison is running against the incumbent Rick Perry.  Both are Republicans.  
Rick Perry has an ad saying that KBH was voted runner up in the Pork Barrel 
Spender of the Year.  I just heard a response ad from her campaign that 1) 
makes fun of him being bipartisan and 2) extolls that she has voted against 
every spending package from the *Obama* administration.

I guess, in her eyes, that's what makes a good republican.  Don't work across 
the aisle and be a roadblock for stuff that's not your idea.  

For myself, between Perry and Hutchison, it's Perry hands down.  If Perry wins 
the R nom, I'll probably vote for him over the dem, Bill White -- although I 
think they're both well qualified.  If it's Hutchison winning the nom, my vote 
will def be Bill White.
