Do you think that advertising works at all, Cam? Are human beings
purely rational and engage any input that tries to sway their thinking
with a calm, clear, analytical analysis of the pros and cons of the
information presented and, thus, the only information which influences
us is that which we can objectively validate?

I'm right with you on Free Will, Cam. In the end, people make their
own decisions, period. Even crazy people like my schizophrenic uncle.
However, I think it is absurd to think that we make our decisions in a
vacuum and I think that as part of personal responsibility, we have to
own up to the ways in which we try and influence others.

You grab a hot pan and burn yourself, it was definitely free will. You
did it. You made the choice to move your body, reach out and grasp the
object. But if I tell you that the pan isn't really hot, knowing
better myself, and that you don't need to use a hot pad, well,
personal responsibility tells me that I'm culpable for my behavior.

Crazy people are responsible for the crazy shit that they do. People
that egg on crazy people and feed them a raft of shit the fuels their
delusional fantasies for fun and profit are responsible for doing what
they do too.
