Just as a thought experiment.... why 18? Is it ok for a 17 year old man to be with a 9 year old girl? Is it ok for anyone to be with a nine year old girl? What about a nine year old boy? Is motive important or is it wrong in all cases? There is at least one culture (I forget where they are, it's a fairly isolated tribe) who believe that the only way for a man to become fertile is to take in the sperm of an older man. Every now and then they have a ceremony where young boys perform oral sex on older men so that they can become fertile men themselves. Western societies would look at this in complete disgust but for them it is a normal rite of passage. I'm not making a value judgment or saying what they do is good or bad, it's just different from what we hold as a cultural norm.
