The Spanish? The Moors? Seems like it's been a cultural norm to me. -----Original Message----- From: Justin Scott [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, February 25, 2010 4:53 PM To: cf-community Subject: RE: WTF?!?!
> It was fine in Germany to kills Jews. Was that OK? The examples you're citing don't demonstrate true cultural values. The Nazis were an aberration for a society where killing Jews was not the norm before a certain someone worked up a national frenzy on the matter. That particular group was attempting to impose itself on everyone else which is a very extreme action. In those extreme cases then, yes, some extreme action may be needed. Taking that down to the individual level, I believe murder is wrong, but if you break into my house in the middle of the night and try to hurt me, I will try to kill you (self defense is not murder). What the Allies did in World War 2 was essentially protect the world from a rouge culture that wanted to wipe out all other cultures. Having said that, Godwin's Law has been realized so we should probably wrap this thread up. :) -Justin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
