I don't mind lugging it from my car to a seminar or class, etc. But in the past I've also done a lot of traveling/flying to dog shows and have my laptop over one shoulder and my 20-pound dog in his flight bag on the other. Oh, purse and camera in there too. And that was with a smaller laptop than the DV7, but I still felt sometimes like I was going to just collapse under all the weight. People would get a real laugh seeing me dragging Taz along the floor in his bag (top unzipped so he could look out) when it got to be too much. Or the time when our flight was delayed for several hours and I insisted they use a wheelchair to take us back on the shuttles to the front of the terminal so he could have a potty break. Not often you see the owner walking and the dog riding in the wheelchair. ;-) I was *really* glad to see the size of laptops come down and now have a netbook as well for this kind of travel need.
