Try lugging around a Mesa Boogie Tri-Rec with their 4x12 Cabinet
One of my old guitarists had one (with all the diamond plating) We
practically had to rent a forklift every time we played a gig.

On the upside that thing sounded like god in the studio

Yep. I'm moving toward a smaller unit for gigs. I still have
memories of the early 80s, when I was traveling a lot on my job. I
weighed about 90 pounds and had a Compac portable that weighed 35
pounds. Also, my guitar player insists that I buy amps more for their
weight than their sound.

*another* laptop to serve as a media PC and drop cable once and for all (not
sure it makes sense to buy another computer though to save on cable bills!)
