And it violated the ROE for the mission, part of which was: 1. You can engage persons who commit hostile acts or show hostile intent using minimum force necessary. 2. Do not target or strike anyone who has surrendered or is out of combat due to sickness or wounds. That's why they had to lie to get permission to engage the van. The gunner says the van is "picking up bodies and weapons." Even the pilot states that he's "picking up the wounded." Then you hear the gunner say "c'mon let us shoot." Then you hear the pilot say "they're taking him." Then you hear crazyhorse say "we have a black suv - bongo truck picking up the bodies. Request permission to engage." Then the gunner says "Fuck."
