I was thrilled when I got my iPhone and knew that it didn't multitask...see, I 
had a windows moble before that did multitask.  Quite often,  one of those 
programs in the background would hang and would cause the phone to generate a 
lot of heat along with depleting the battery.  You'd figure it out eventually 
when your phone seared your leg through your pants pocket.

I figure if Apple finally decided to do multitasking, the reason is probably 
that it took that long to get it right.
