When I was hacked, they raped 2 guild banks...one of which was from a pretty
big guild. From what I hear they are going to start requiring either the
fob or the mobile app after Cataclysm is released. I initially ordered the
fob, but now use the app on my Droid. I have been playing since the game
came out and had never been hacked. Then a couple of months after they
switched to battle.net for the log in, I get hacked. I don't go to any
questionable sites, plus my machine is protected by anti-virus (Aviria) and
windows defender, so no malware here. I can almost guarantee that you got
hacked from someone hacking Blizzard...not from anything you did. From my
discussions with the management, hacking is a HUGE problem that completely
overwhelms the GM's...it's the reason why when you submit a ticket that they
may get to you 2-3 days later. This is why they are seriously contemplating
forcing the issue with the authenticator.

Just got an email from Blizzard. They determined the account was hacked and
they have restored it. Just my character was there and he had all his items
so no big deal. Hopefully it will remain safe until I get the
authenticator.
