It is clear that the intention of the ultrasound law is intended to add levels and layers of additional guilt on women who plan on getting an abortion. Not simply to "make them more informed".
I don't necessarily agree with that, but I don't see that it is any way illegal. And in some ways, I agree with the intent. In theory, the more a woman knows, the more likely she is to make an informed decision. So, how on earth does that reconcile with the second law, which makes doctors immune from any lawsuits for withholding or even purposefully lying to a woman (or man) about the health of their baby?
