Yes, the Torah is only the first five books of the Christian Bible. The rest of 
the writings are seperated out by the Jews. They have the rest seperated out 
kind of like the Testaments except it's divided by subject matter rather than 
when it was written. It is not, however, collectively known as the Hebrew Bible 
and the rest of it is not regarded as equal to the Torah the way it is in the 
Christian Bible. The writings of the Prophets are important, yes, but not as 
much so as you think. A modern example is the way the Adventist church views 
the writings of Ellen White. The Bible is the foundation and Ellen White (a 
prophetess) built upon it.
