I'm fine with either Jewish or Kosher and since I don't generally eat cheese, I like my pastrami without dairy.
As for dinner, that might work. Our host is Jewish, though not kosher although he's vegetarian now and mostly vegan and I'm not sure how that fits into dietary laws, and is planning on taking us out to Coney Island on Monday (which I'm told is in Brooklyn) and then borrowing a car for the week from his Aunt who is somewhere near there. If Monday might work for you, I'll talk to the troops and figure out what may work.
