Yeah, that would be the recognition of a higher power I was talking
about. Hardly makes for a whole foundation.

I'll admit I didn't fact check myself and I honestly can't remember
where I heard that. Regardless there can be no doubt that the Pilgrims
have had a huge impact on our culture. And I do believe you're correct
about them calling for a separation of church and state.
