I'm pretty sure that the ref that claimed that was Donaghy (who was jailed for betting on games he officiated) but that Donaghy didn't work that LA/Sac game. Which isn't to say that the NBA is clean or anything, but I don't think that anyone actually involved in that game has claimed that they were told to give the game to the Lakers.
