I disagree. If this was a white gov't worker making the same
statements about a black farmer, regardless fo how long ago it was,
people would be up in arms (people like Sharpton).

To this day all people remember about Sen. Byrd was that at one time
he was a member of the KKK, not anything else after ( I may not have
agreed with the guy on a lot of things but he brought a lot of money
and improvements to my state (WV) a lot of which have directly
affected the local economy where I live) . Maybe non-white people are
capable change and white people are nott?

With that said, if she acted this way a long time ago and was, as
someone pointed out, trying to show how she has changed, she should
not have been fired, IMHO.
