Now we have to play the chicken and the egg game. Do tell me, are the
poor stupid because they are poor or are the stupid poor because they

Did it ever occur to you, just maybe, no...nevermind. It wouldn't
occur to you that the poor might recognize the people that fucked
them, generally  decline to participate in a process that usually
fucks them and then when they do participate vote for someone who will
likely fuck them less than the other guy.
