No...Marxism is an extreme left ideology just as fascism is an extreme right
ideology. However Communism and Socialism are centered on the people, so a
dictatorial ruler is contradictory to the tenets of both. Just because we
called it Communism and Socialism doesn't mean that it really was that. It
was simply a dictatorship that took over a movement that was rooted in
socialism and communism, but did not follow all it's tenets. It would be
better described as Marxism as it was advocating violent overthrow of
governments arising from class warfare and the subjugation of the working
class. Yes it did share some ideals with the 2, but then so do we as a
Social Democratic Republic, but that doesn't make us any more a socialist or
communist state that the USSR was. Communism was never successful beyond a
small group (aka the example of hippie communes or Israeli Kibbutzes). That
is why I say we have never seen a communist state...ever. In Europe,
Socialist Democratic states, like Sweden and Denmark have thrived on the
otherhand.

I'm at a loss here.

Are you saying you don't recognize Marxism as a valid socialist plan
or are you saying it isn't connected with socialism at all? Maybe you
might want to call it a right-wing thing.
