The reason race relations is not improving in the US is due to lack of
dialogue.  No one really wants to talk about it, even on this list we
have danced around it...

I deliberately chose to live in a diverse area with many races, and I
enjoy discussing and listening to everyone's view point. I have had
many prejudices, but have learned to relinquished most of them as I
get to know my neighbors, and ask questions instead of assuming.

There really is a concept of "white privilege" in America, and until
we are able to acknowledge it and relinquish it, there will never be
racial equality.
