Seems to me that there is probably a continuum. If they had played a Nazi in a production or two amongst other roles? No, that's obviously not a problem. If they played exclusively Nazis? Well, that would just be kind of weird but I wouldn't think about it too much. If they played exclusively Nazi's and did Nazi role playing outside of work? That would give me a bit of pause. If they also collected Nazi memoribillia? Yeah, I'd start to really worry at that point. If they also espoused strong anti-gay views, etc? Yup, pretty much going to assume you are a Nazi sympathizer at that point. I have no idea where the dude that is running for Congress falls on this continuum, btw, I just wanted to point out that it is a continuum and not just a simple "freak out" or "absolutely nothing to freak out about" bit all by itself, context matters.
