I already answered that.  Multiple times:

"In my opinion, be the person left, right, democratic party member,
republican, libertarian, green or even purple, he went well beyond
acceptable as a congressional representative. There are more that a
few reenactor groups that do WWII German units, but they are wehrmacht
units not Waffen SS."

In other words if Iott simply wanted to portray a German soldier of
that time there are quite a few groups that do that sort of thing. The
fact that he chose a group that choose to base themselves on an SS
division that was (1) on the Eastern Front exclusively; (2) was at the
center of more than a few atrocities, and (3) was affiliated with
Robert Mengle is very telling.
