Democrats create a housing bubble by strong-arming Fannie and Freddie into handing out millions of loans to people who were clearly not good investment risks - so-called sub-prime borrowers. Then when, sure enough, those millions of loans go bad, Democrats are outraged - outraged, I tell you! - to find that the banks are preying on these sub-prime borrowers. News flash - the banks were preying on these people all along, and it was Democrats in Congress like Barney Frank who purposefully created the conditions that made it all possible.
The more activist government becomes, the greater the risk that the unintended consequences of government action will outweigh any benefits of that action. The government should police foreclosure activity like it policies other economic activity, but attempting some "big fix" on the foreclosure crisis will only delay the day of reckoning and extend the recession. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:329286 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
