I don't think Ubuntu is any harder to use than windows. I do think it's hard for people to accept change. Case in point -- I made an internal site so that all the employees could rank the costumes in our costume contest. There's a 5 pumpkin scale that they click for each photo. Once clicked, an ajax call records their vote. I've fielded so many questions of "Where's the submit button" even though I explain it in the instructions. Thinking about putting a dummy submit button on there.
