"This is the only employer I've ever worked for where you don't get
coverage the first day you are employed." He's asking a question based
on his experience, not demanding.

Obamacare isn't supposed to cover the people waiting for new coverage
to kick in, Cobra does that. It's supposed to cover the people that
don't have.
Still, I see no hypocrisy, just a new employee get details about his
new benefits.
