Could be. I have never worked for a place where bene's kicked in on day 1.
Every place I have worked at in the almost 20 years that I have been
working, there was some sort of waiting period. Whining about not having
coverage for a month is pretty insensitive to all the people that he
represents that have no insurance and shows that this guy is pretty
disconnected with the reality of this issue.

Since he asked what he could do for the month of January, I would
guess he's currently covered.
